About Frank
Frank Høedt is one of Denmark's most talented graphic facilitators and idea generators. Frank facilitates meetings where he captures ideas, words, and thoughts from conversations. Not the day after, but right when they arise. Frank has facilitated for clients such as EnVision, Recommended, Lego, Bilka, and many more.
Frank can activate all his brainpower for the sole purpose of being creative. Not calculating anything, not structuring, not producing.
During meetings and brainstorming sessions, he gathers and collects ideas so that you can review them, prioritize them, zoom in on the essentials, and move forward toward your goal. The output is a stream of ideas, visualized and thus usable for your further work in turning ideas into solutions. It is cost-effective and hassle-free for you. All tasks are delivered with frankness – honesty, humility, and curiosity. And Frank guarantees that the collaboration will be professional, but fun.
How it works
What is graphic facilitation?
When expensive employees meet, it costs time, money, coffee, and croissants.
That's why the return on investment must be optimal. At a meeting, thoughts and ideas fly around in the air, and if you don't catch them and examine them, they fly out the window and out of the company. Graphic facilitation is a means of capturing thoughts and ideas so that they can be examined, developed, and possibly turned into new methods or business areas.
This is what happens when Frank Høedt facilitates your meeting
When facilitating a meeting with graphic facilitation, Frank Høedt captures words, ideas, and thoughts from the conversation and draws them. Not the next day, but right when they arise. When he draws them, the words are no longer words, but concrete visualizations that can reveal themselves as big beautiful ideas, small ugly ideas, or something you don't quite understand yet. They can grow during the day, they can be crossed out or redrawn – or they can prove useful in connection with things that are said and visualized later in the meeting. During the meeting, the many small ideas often become a whole. In the form of a process plan, a timeline, a treasure map of ideas. It is as if the meeting changes character – that it becomes magical in a way.
But there is no magic involved—it is simply a matter of utilizing our genetic programming. We only began reading 3,000 years ago and started boring each other with PowerPoint presentations 20 years ago. We comprehend much faster and think much better when we see the big picture instead of letters and numbers.
What you can expect
So what happens when you visualize a qualified conversation between experts? First, you activate the entire brain of the participants. Secondly, you create a shared image of the topic, to which everyone contributes. Thirdly, you capture and document the meeting in a powerful and sensory way that, unlike written meeting minutes, we are genetically programmed to see and respond to.
So graphic facilitation turbocharges the process that the meeting and conversation are there for:
- Words that become conversation
- Conversations that turn into ideas
- Ideas that become business
It's that simple.

“We are a young, rapidly growing company that is expanding on all digital fronts with our reading platform, which offers books for reading either at school or at home. Our need and focus is to create honest and credible communication about the digitization of physical books with the vision of 'strengthening the desire to read' and thus also reading skills. Our need is to create credible, holistic communication—in an authentic and fun way. That is why we needed to think outside the box and uncover opportunities that might lie outside traditional solutions. We had long considered a "speed drawing" film that could communicate our message in a fun way, and it was actually this film (link) that Frank was to spearhead.
It turns out that Frank had much more to offer, as he has an excellent understanding of the marketing challenges we face at BookBites. We have held a number of meetings where Frank has used graphic visualization to create an overview and find the 'holes in the cheese'. We have used him as a sparring partner and idea generator, and we have gained a great deal from our collaboration. Frank manages to open up a space where everything is allowed and possible in the initial phase, where all the balls are thrown up in the air. At the same time, he is immensely skilled at catching the relevant balls again and conceptualizing ideas graphically and visually.
Working with Frank is inspiring and creative – you have to search long and hard to find someone with the kind of raw creative power and drive that he brings to the table. He brings an energy that can best be described as that of a consultant and idea generator on speed. Frank has a special ability to come in from the outside and quickly catch up on the specific situation. In addition, he delivers impressive creative work on command (both visually and verbally), where he manages to concretize and create an overview of how ideas and concepts become reality.
In my collaboration with Frank, I have met a truly creative soul with a passion for creating an engaging and fun work process that dares to challenge the status quo and go straight to the point – sometimes even beyond. This opens up creativity and creates unique, engaging sessions where all participants want to contribute. Frank's professional skills and abilities are outstanding – both as an illustrator and an idea generator – and I would give him my highest and warmest recommendations at any time.
— Lasse Nyrup, CEO & Co-founder at BookBites A/S

“I have known Frank for many years as a creative and imaginative person with formidable visualization skills. So when I decided to reform my company, it was natural to contact Frank and discuss the possibilities of utilizing his abilities. Through his value-creating idea generation, Frank has given us a good overview of our company/customers/contacts. To put it more succinctly, it is a transition from sales alone to what is now consulting and sales.
A method for creating added value for my customers and in many areas of my company's focus areas. Specifically, Frank has drawn up an overview of the customer journey in my company and the opportunities for improvement at each stage of this journey. It has been an exciting journey for us to work with Frank and his creative abilities.
— Ole Varming Andersen, Danish Furniture Group

“Over the past year, I have conducted approximately 100 workshops Frank. So it is safe to say that I have gained a deep insight into what Frank is capable of. And what Frank can do is something very special. He manages to draw a summary with a quality and speed that I have never seen anyone else match. He captures comments and points in a fine-meshed net. And he translates it all into drawings of a very high quality—and in a very special style. When you leave one of Frank's visual summaries with a customer, there is something to revisit and something to work on—and that naturally helps to ensure learning and anchoring. What's more, Frank is absolutely fantastic when he goes through a report and recounts what actually happened at a workshop; it usually elicits hearty laughter, positive cheers, and long rounds of applause. Finally, in our collaboration, Frank has, without exception, demonstrated high spirits and an outstanding work ethic."
— Søren Bechmann, CEO at Service Design Institute

“Frank can interpret difficult language and complex concepts visually in a way that makes the difficult simple and understandable. Frank has visualized design methods and other concepts for me so that they appear clearer, more nuanced, and more logical. This has been of great importance to my teaching in international contexts where language is a barrier. Frank has had a great strategic understanding of the multinational context he has had to draw for and has greatly enhanced my material.
In other contexts, Frank and I have developed design games for workshops based on megatrends and other future perspectives, where, for example, lawyers have had to work with the consequences of a given development in their business. In these contexts, Frank has also visualized the concepts and future scenarios that have emerged from discussions and workshops. Frank is also able to present both content and atmosphere in an engaging and humorous way that makes participants remember the session with joy. This is an invaluable skill in co-creation contexts.
As former vice-principal at Design School Kolding, I have seen and taught many illustrators. I have never met a graphic translator who is as quick, subtle, and talented as Frank. I would therefore not hesitate to work with him again—and his illustrated universe comes with my warmest recommendation.
— Mette Mikkelsen, Service Designer and Adjunct Professor

“When something looks easy, you know it’s brilliant and high class. Watching Frank draw is like watching Messi with the ball—it looks effortless. One of Frank's drawings tells more than 100 words about what actually happened that day. Frank captures the mood and the quirky angle, the dilemma, and the humor. With Frank's personality and his drawings in the room, everyone understands that what we create together during the day is important, something special, and something we create together.
Frank's creativity and humor turned serious topics and major dilemmas upside down. The drawings sparked a desire to tell stories, and creativity bubbled up from conservative bankers in dark suits. We reminded each other that going to work should be fun, and suddenly there was room for "battle cries in a circle." For a moment, we forgot that the battlefield was a meeting office and a branch. Standing in a circle, we might just as well have been standing on the pitch before an important international match. Thank you to our wizard Frank Høedt for some excellent days at Spar Nord Køge Bugt.
