About Luisa
Luisa is a creative consultant and teaches Trend Forecasting and Fashion Communication at the Scandinavian Academy of Fashion & Design in Copenhagen. She graduated from the London College of Fashion with a Master's degree in Fashion Communication and has worked with trends and fashion at an international level for 20 years.
Luisa has worked as a trend forecaster at trend agencies such as WGSN, Stylesight, Fashion Snoops, and Stylus in London, Milan, and Copenhagen for over 10 years. Here, she was responsible for trend reports for the coming seasons together with the other research teams and covered fashion weeks, trade fairs, designer and retail interviews, as well as specificworkshops the trend agencies' clients. Luisa has worked with major brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, H&M, Gap, Barilla Pasta, Nokia, and more.
She has been design manager at Esprit in Düsseldorf and at Vero Moda, as well as creative director at Mini-A-ture. She has also worked as trend director at Bestseller, with brands such as Vero Moda, Mamalicious, Minimize, Noisy May, and Junarose on her CV.
Today, Luisa has her own trend consulting agency, LUISA ELVIRA, where she holds trend workshops focused on her clients' needs. These cover everything from upcoming seasonal macro trends and consumer trends to brand books, lookbooks, and more. The focus is also on new colors, fabrics, and silhouettes, and mood boards are created for the designers' collections in collaboration with them. In addition, strategic planning is carried out for large collections that need to fit together nicely in global fast fashion retail stores. Her clients include Zalando, Birger Christensen, Mads Nørgaard, Walt Disney, Mark Kenly Domino Tan, Paula Cademartori, Noisy May, Y.A.S, Only, Studio, Postyr, Name It, and WGSN, to name a few.
Luisa gives lectures and workshops both Danish and English.
